Roll-off dumpster sizes available in Arvada, CO

Volume and weight are two different limits

Every roll-off container has a capacity measured in cubic yards and a separate allowance measured in tons, and the material you are loading decides which of the two stops you first. Household clear-outs, furniture, cardboard and construction offcuts run out of space. Concrete, brick, tile, landscape rock, soil and wet carpet run out of weight, often with the container barely a third full. Choosing on volume alone is the single most common and most expensive sizing mistake we see.

That is why the 40 yard is not simply the safest choice. It is a volume container built for bulky light debris, and filling one with rubble is neither legal to lift nor affordable to tip. If your load is dense, the honest answer is usually a 10 yard filled part way. If it is bulky and light, size up. Our full Arvada sizing guide works through the maths with real project examples.

Dumpster size questions

What dumpster sizes can I rent in Arvada?

We run five roll-off sizes: 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 cubic yards. The 20 yard is the one most projects land on, the 10 yard is the right answer for anything heavy like concrete or tile, and the 40 yard is a volume container for bulky light debris rather than a way to move more weight.

What happens if I pick the wrong size?

If it is too small we can swap it, which costs another haul but is not a disaster. Too large is the more expensive mistake with heavy material, because you hit the tonnage allowance long before the box is full and pay overage on top of a larger base rate. Describe the material on the phone and we will steer you.

How much driveway space does a roll-off need?

Roughly 22 feet of clear run for a 10 yard, 26 for a 15, 34 for a 20 or 30, and 36 for a 40 — the container length plus room for the truck to work. Add about 10 to 12 feet of width and roughly 23 to 25 feet of overhead clearance for the hoist. Low limbs and service drops stop more deliveries than tight driveways do.

Can I go over the weight allowance?

You can, and it is charged per ton over. That is why we ask what is going in before we quote. Dense material such as concrete, brick, tile, landscape rock and wet soil reaches the limit far sooner than furniture and cardboard, and we would rather size it correctly than surprise you on the invoice.

Do all five sizes fit on a normal Arvada driveway?

The 10, 15 and 20 yard sizes fit almost anywhere. The 30 and 40 yard need a longer straight approach, and on some tighter infill lots or HOA-managed streets they are not always practical. Tell us the street and we will tell you honestly what will fit.
